WHAT IT NEEDS.NOT MUCH.
HYPERCRATE is a native desktop app, not a browser wrapper. It runs happily on a normal studio machine, and it does the heavy lifting once rather than every time you open it.

Analysis is the only heavy part, and you choose how much of the machine it gets. A CPU control sits beside the progress bar with three settings: LOW runs a single file at a time and leaves the machine to you, MED takes about half your cores, and HIGH uses everything the chip has bar a couple of threads. It ships on HIGH, and you can change it mid-import: the new setting takes hold as the jobs already running finish. On Apple Silicon the two lower settings also ask macOS to keep analysis on the efficiency cores. Once a folder is indexed, browsing and auditioning stay instant on modest hardware.
ALWAYS GETTING BETTER.EVERY RELEASE, ON THE RECORD.
HYPERCRATE is in active development. These are the real release notes, pulled live from the same update feed the app itself reads, so this list grows with every version that ships.
